Every saree passes through her hands
Priya Rao grew up in Andhra Pradesh, where silk weaving was part of everyday life. That early familiarity with colour, border and drape became the quiet eye she brings to every piece today.
An Indian Army officer’s wife and a mother of two, she has lived across the country and met its weavers along the way. Each saree in the studio is one she has chosen herself, because it moved her.
